St. John is a Roman Catholic Church located in Westminster, Maryland. Centrally located in Carroll County, we are a faith community firmly rooted in the traditions of the Catholic Church and dedicated to meeting and accompanying everyone on their faith journey.

We celebrate mass daily and offer perpetual adoration in our Parish Center’s Adoration Chapel.

Sem. Jon Cerda’s father dies at the age of 73:We join with the Cerda family In mourning the loss of Mr. Jesse Cerda. Jesse Neal Cerda, age 73, of Westminster, Maryland, died on February 4, 2026. He was born on October 21, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. Jesse was a husband, brother, father, and friend, known for being funny, kind, thoughtful, patient, loving, and deeply friendly to everyone he met. He and his wife, Sharon Cerda, celebrated 40 years of marriage, a testament to his steady love and fidelity. He served in the Marines during Vietnam and a dedicated business owner, running Alternate Ride for many years.He is survived by his wife, Sharon Balleza Cerda, and his sons, Jesse Steven Cerda, Jonathan Cerda, and J Andrew Cerda.
