The
School Board is off to a great start
this year and I would like to thank the
Members for their willingness to serve.
-
On September 19th, Ralph
Arnold and I addressed the school
parents at “Back to School” night to
discuss the financial position of
the Parish and Full Day
Kindergarten. Parents were asked to
sign up if they were interested in
working on the Full Day Kindergarten
committee. Thirteen volunteers
signed up.
-
On October 20th, the
Board hosted the “Meet the Teachers”
night. This social event provides an
opportunity for Teachers and Board
Members to be introduced and to get
to know one another. Special thanks
to Darlene Smith for organizing this
event.

The Board is in the process of
finalizing goals for the year which
is anticipated to be completed in
November. The Board Goals to be
addressed by the Committees will be
within four general areas of effort
which include:

Supporting the Middle States
Accreditation Process
-
Development of the Operating
Budget and a Capital Budget
-
Developing and executing a Full
Day Kindergarten Strategy
-
Replenishing the Board
Membership
