St. John Church Interior

Learn about our historic stained glass.
The narthex of St. John Church offers a great space for gathering. It features a life-sized statue of the Sacred Heart, with arms outstretched in welcome to all who visit and come to worship.
The view down the main aisle. A stained glass representing the descent of the Holy Spirit resides above a crucifix with the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John praying at the foot of the cross.

The tabernacle is centrally located and is surrounded by attendant angels.

The church seats 1200 worshippers.

A view from the left side of the main altar shows the Baptistry and the presider's chair.
A view from the right side of the altar, shows the restored Moeller organ and pulpit.
A view of the crucifixion scene located above the altar, with the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John sharing in grief and adoration of Our Lord.
At either end of the cruciform church are found statues of Mary and Joseph. This is the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary located at the north windows of the church.
Along the south windows is found this statue of St. Joseph.
