From the Pastor

This weekend we join with the Church throughout our nation to celebrate Respect Life.  Along with the 40 days of fasting and prayer that will conclude on November 4th, we are praying for an ever-deepening respect for human life from conception to natural death.  This is not a political agenda, philosophical debate, nor an unresolved issue.  Witnessing to the sanctity of human life is a response to the Gospel teaching that all life comes from God.  Let us continue to keep in our prayers all those who have suffered from abortion, particularly those who are in need of God’s healing, forgiveness and peace.

Our parish Pro-Life committee, Project Rachael and St. Vincent de Paul Society invite you to participate and help witness to life by: protecting the pre-born, the newly born, the elderly and supporting the needs of families in our community.  The Maryland Catholic Conference needs our help to support legislation that is consistent with the Gospel of Life: ending abortion, supporting funding that assists families, children, the ageing and ending the death penalty.

                May God bless you,
