From the Administrator

The parish has many ministries, which need to distribute information into your hands.  Sometimes the bulletin does not allow the space necessary for all that is needed.  The parish office tries to accommodate the many requests for fliers, handouts, etc., without overburdening parishioners at the same time.   The bulletin company is now able to print an extra-attached page periodically; you may have seen it when the parish council ballot was inserted.  It is this page that will be used periodically when a larger announcement is warranted.

Once an extra flyer has been in the bulletin, extra copies will be made available in the pamphlet rack for people to pick up.  The office has designated the pamphlet rack in the foyer on the Monroe Street side next to the Liturgical Ministers Room for such periodical flyers.  Presently, the following are in there:  Vacation Bible School Registrations, Blanket of Love forms, Parish Cookbook, Prison Ministry Golf tournament. These eventually will be outdated and new items will be placed in their spot.

There are four pamphlet racks in the foyer with the information as follows:

  1. Periodic forms as stated above; Electronic Debiting; Vocational, Respect Life, Health Care, Knights of Columbus
  2.  School, Religious Education, Spanish Ministry, Life Teen, Edge and Youth Alive
  3. Catechetical Pamphlets, What Catholics Believe, Bi-Monthly EWTN program guide

     4.       Children’s Books.

Peace,

Liturgy & Worship

PERPETUAL ADORATION UPDATE… At the end of May we will need someone for the following hours of Adoration: Wednesday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12-1:00 p.m. Anyone willing to come for Adoration at these times please call the parish office.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY ... Sunday, June 3

The 9:15 a.m. Mass will be a children’s liturgy.

FATHER’S DAY SPIRITUAL BOUQUETS are available at the doors of the Church and at the Parish Center.

DEAF MINISTRY: The parish offers an interpreter for those who request one at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday Mass. Due to the fluctuating number of people in need of this ministry, we are asking parishioners to inform the parish office when they plan on attending the 9:15 Mass and need this service. Although we have had an interpreter at every 9:15 Mass for a trial period of 2-3 months, there has not been a consistent number of people who would benefit from this service who were present for this Mass. Therefore, should any parishioner request an interpreter, one would be provided. Please contact Anna Kakel at: blondes39@yahoo.com or call the parish office to request an interpreter for Mass or other church related events.
