From the Pastor

This is my last letter to you all here at St. John’s. I want to thank everyone for being so kind and welcoming to me. Being here has been a wonderful experience. I was a bit nervous when I first came because this is such a large parish. Nevertheless, you all made me feel so comfortable.

Your devotion to our Lord and His Blessed Mother is very inspiring. I do believe that you have helped me to be a better priest. Please remember me in your prayers as I move on to St. Mary’s in Hagerstown. I’ll be a bit nervous when I get there too. I’m sure that their parishioners will be kind to me just as you have been. Fr. Patrick Carrion will be arriving here shortly. I know that he will experience the same welcoming and kindness from you that I experienced. Pray for him as he continues to do Monsignor’s work here.

Speaking of Msgr. Art…he stopped by here the other day to pick up a few things that he needed. He drove himself. It must have given him a good feeling to be able to get out on his own for a while. He is waiting for a bone marrow donor that will be a proper match. They told him that this might take two months. Let us pray that one can be found as soon as possible so Msgr. can get on with the treatment.

Peace to everyone at St. John’s. God bless you all. Thank you and Auf Wiedersehen.

                God bless,
