From the Pastor

This weekend is my opportunity to speak at all the Masses on the topic of stewardship. As I mentioned in the recent parish mailing, I am deeply grateful for your faithful and generous support of our parish. Every parish ministry is supported by talented volunteers, parishioners responding to the needs of the poor, the sick and those most in need. Our parish Religious Education Ministry and Parish School are strengthened by parishioner participation. The Liturgical life of our parish is enriched by the volunteers, including Music Ministry, Altar Society, Arts and Environment, Lectors, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, and Sacristans, and Ushers. There are over 60 parish organizations that depend upon volunteers. There is always room for new people; there is room for everyone. Stewardship, (Time, Talent and Treasury) is everyone’s responsibility.

            May God bless you,

30th SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME: Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God , with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Mt 22:37-39. By fulfilling these two great commandments, we hope to become models of faith and stewards of the Lord who gave himself totally for each one of us. We do this when we joyfully share our gifs of life, our abilities, and resources with one another.
