From the Pastor
For the past four years, our parish has been well served by the priestly ministry of Father Brian Nolan. His prayerful presence, faithful witness and insightful homilies have enriched our lives. I am particularly grateful for having had the opportunity to work with and share the fraternal bond of the priesthood with such a good and holy priest. As you know, he will begin his new appointment at St. Jane Frances parish next week. Father Brian has agreed to return to St. John’s and celebrate the 11:15 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 17th. A reception will follow immediately after the Mass in the Portico. As an expression of our appreciation, the parish will present him with a purse. Please use the envelope included in the summer mailing, or indicate your intention on your donation and place it in the offertory or send it to the parish office.
Please join me in expressing congratulations to Father Tyson Wood on the occasion of his ordination to the priesthood. Father Wood will celebrate his First Mass this Sunday at 11:15, followed by a reception in the Portico. He will also celebrate the Sunday evening Mass. Father Tyson has been assigned as a Catholic Chaplain with the Army. He and his family will reside in the Clarksville area. I am grateful for his service to our parish during his seminary formation years and look forward to working with him in the priesthood.
May God bless you,
Liturgy & Worship
