From the Pastor

I invite you to join me in offering congratulations to the young people of our parish who will be receiving their First Holy Communion. Starting last weekend and continuing through the middle of May, more than 175 children of our parish will join us at the Eucharistic Table. I am particularly grateful to their parents and teachers who have prepared them. Their prayers will bless our entire parish.

As we begin the month of May, I encourage your continued devotion to our Blessed Mother. We begin the month of May with our annual May Procession this Sunday. We will conclude the month of May with our Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, May the 29th, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. I hope many of you will be able to join us in prayer and in person.

                May God bless you,

Rev. Msgr. Arthur F. Valenzano, Pastor

Rev. Brian P. Nolan, Associate

We Pray …

NATIVITY…Tribute to Sr. Bern: During the year the parish has been praying for Sr. Bern, we have been asked how to thank her for her 25 yrs. of dedicated service to our parish and the Health Care Ministry. It has been suggested that a new Nativity Set be purchased in tribute. The set we are considering is absolutely exquisite! It is of hand-carved wood, created by the same Peruvian artisans who created the Crucifixion scene above the sanctuary of our church. Total cost for the 30+ pieces, crating, shipping and set-up the first time is $17,500. Pictures can be viewed in the narthex of the church this weekend. Envelopes will be available for any contribution toward this tribute. If you wish information about purchase of a particular figure, please contact Pat Mueller at 410-876-2596. Thank you.
