From the Pastor
Although next Sunday is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week, there is still time to avail ourselves of the graces of the Lenten season. I would like to offer some suggestions for our prayer, fasting and alms giving. Consider additional prayers for peace, for the sick especially those suffering from the burdens of advanced age (the Holy Father) and for those preparing to be Baptized and received into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Perhaps we could pray the rosary and/or make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament. Consider keeping a day(s) of fasting between meals to deepen our awareness of those who suffer from real hunger. Consider the blessing of alms giving and participate in the Lenten Appeal. Money that would have been spent for our wants may be offered to help the needs of those less fortunate. God is so generous to us and so many ways!
May God bless you,
