From the Pastor
I would like to thank the members of our parish who spoke
at the Masses this weekend. The combination of their personal
witness and the content of their presentation provided all of us
with a wonderful invitation to renew and perhaps increase our
financial commitment to our parish. Your faithful and generous
stewardship is deeply appreciated.
The renovation of our former church building for use as the parish hall will complete our ten-year capital plan. Bids from several construction firms were due last week and the contract will be awarded soon. The project cost is around 2 million dollars. In order for the parish to finance the work, it is necessary to raise our total pledge goal from 8 million to 10 million dollars. Keep in mind that although the balance owed for our new church is less than $600,000 additional pledges are needed to finish this final phase. More information will be made available as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
May God bless you,

OUR PARISH STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM is one very important way to express our self-giving for the good of others and our parish. When you volunteer to serve in one of our ministries or outreach programs, you put your faith in action and help us to truly reach our full potential! This weekend, Parish Volunteers will offer their personal stories of witness to Stewardship and will invite you and your families to consider becoming actively involved in our parish. Please listen carefully to their reflections and prayerfully consider how you too can serve our parish!
Dear Msgr. Art and Parishioners of
Our
brothers and sisters in the diocese of Mandeville and I are
deeply appreciative of your offering of $4,261.49 for Hurricane
relief. As you can imagine, the needs of Mandeville are many,
especially in light of the devastation of Hurricane Ivan. Please
pray for us as we begin the process of recovery.
Please
know that as you have been so generous to us, you will share in
the prayers, Masses and good works which will ascend to God from
our beloved island. Sincerely, yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Gordon D. Bennett, S.J. Bishop of Mandeville
