    I have invited the members of our Pastoral Council, the Pastoral Staff of our parish, and the president of our Parish School Board to participate in the morning Mass this Saturday. Following the Mass we will meet to review the Parish Ten Year Plan. The meeting will be facilitated by Deacon Charles Hiebler, Coordinator for Planning and Council Services for the Western Vicar (Bishop Malooly) Each committee (Liturgy, Religious Education, Outreach & Evangelization, Development and Finance & Management) will develop and present goals for the coming year. I invite and encourage parishioner participation in this process, and most especially I ask your continued prayers that we are faithful to God’s Plan and attentive to His Will in all our endeavors.

HEALTHCARE & LITURGICAL MINISTERS EVENING OF RECOLLECTION  Monday, September 20

From 6:45 – 9:00 p.m. in the McDaniel College Lounge. All Healthcare, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Children’s Liturgy Leaders, Art and Environment Members, Music Ministers and Sacristans are invited and urged to attend this important spiritual event. BIBLE STUDY Beginning the week of September 13

The fall/winter session will be the study of “The Letter of St. Paul to the Romans” using the Ignatius Study Bible and Audiotapes with commentary by Scott Hahn. WISDOM CLUB MONTHLY MEETING Thurs., Sept. 23

Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon in the hall of the Ascension Episcopal Church, followed by our luncheon and meeting. Our guest speaker will be Janet Colburn, her topic, ‘Genealogy’. She was formerly with the Carroll County Library. This topic is of much interest, and hopefully she will have some pointers for those of us doing research in this fascinating field. MEMORIAL BRICKS: A fall campaign will run from September 1 through January 30, 2005. During this campaign, purchase any of the four small crosses of 8x8 bricks for only $600 a savings of $150. The five brick groupings each form a small cross at different locations near the larger cross. Contact Kathy Duex at 410-848-4469 for details and/or your 8x8 brick forms.
