From the Pastor
The following tips are offered to help make your summer a blessed one. Please note, if you are under 18 years old, parent permission is required for participation. A combination of any of three tips will guarantee a blessed summer:
1. Watch a sunrise and write down your experience, and put your paragraph in your Bible.
2. Choose a day and have no TV, no radio, no video games, no computer time; however, books are permitted.
3. Write a card for your parents, grandparents, and/or spouse and tell them you love them.
4. Call, e-mail or write to a friend or classmate you may not see over the summer.
5. ASAP (Always Say A Prayer) for peace and for vocations.
6. Put a coin/offering in the Poor Box from your personal money.
7. Pick one of the following;
a. Choose a day during the summer to attend a weekday Mass.
b. Make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament
c. Come 15 minutes early to a weekend Mass or stay 15 minutes after Mass for prayer.
8. Try to make it through one whole day with no complaints about others.
9. Take a moment to watch a sunset and thank God for the day.
10. Receive Holy Communion every Sunday.
May God bless you,
