From the Pastor
Happy Mothers’ Day! This wonderful holiday provides us with opportunities to honor and acknowledge the unique and special role of our mothers. Perhaps the most important gift we can give to our mothers (living and deceased) is the gift of our prayer. I am particularly grateful to our Westminster Council of the Knights of Columbus, who are providing potted marigolds to our mothers at all of our Masses this weekend.
Traditionally, the Church invites us to honor the Blessed Mother in a special way throughout the month of May. I want to thank our Sodality for coordinating our annual May procession, and thank all of the participants including; the Legion of Mary, the Knights of Columbus and our parish children. Please remember to pray the rosary for peace, especially for peace in Iraq.
May God bless you,
THE KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS would like to give each mother a Marigold on Mother’s Day. They ask that the youngest child be allowed to present the marigold to their mother on behalf of all the children in the family.

ESTATE PLANNING: If you were to quiz every person you know over age 50 about the importance of having a valid will in place, you would likely find 100% of them in favor of such prudent planning! Yet many people die without a will and many others depart with a will that is out-of-date or invalid. Unless we are faced with a compelling reason to act, it is simply easier to wait until a more convenient day and for many, that day never comes. Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today! Make a decision to initiate the estate-planning process now! For a free brochure on how to plan for both your family and your parish through estate planning, call the parish office 410-876-2248.
