From the Pastor
This is an important day in the history of our parish. With the dedication of our new church this Sunday, we are celebrating God’s goodness to us. Please join me in thanking God for His love, mercy and blessings. I join with my brother priests, and our entire pastoral staff to thank you for your prayers, sacrifices and hard work. The new building is a powerful symbol of the deeper reality of God’s presence in our community. The transition into the new church, including the new weekend Mass schedule, will require patience and adjustments for all of us. Your continued cooperation is deeply appreciated.
I want to express a special word of thanks to our pastoral council, the planning committee, development committee, building committee, and the dedication committee and all who have worked so hard and so faithfully. The liturgy committee, music ministry, sacristans and our maintenance and facilities people have done an outstanding job. Special thanks goes to F.M. Harvey Construction Company who have worked for us and with us to build a beautiful house for the Lord. What a wonderful parish!
May God bless you,
Liturgy & Worship

NOTICE CONCERNING MASS INTENTIONS: Canon 945ff: In accordance with approved custom of the Church, the Faithful are invited to ask the parish priests to offer Mass for a particular intention along with the priest’s general intention, “for the good of the Church and the whole world.” (Priest prayer before Mass). At our parish, this has been an important part of our faith, as we believe that our intentions rise up to heaven with every Mass being offered.
As of November 1, 2003, the parish will begin a new Mass schedule that has two less weekend Masses. These Masses have already been assigned with particular Mass intentions along with the person’s offering. According to Canon law 953 and 954, the parish priests have the responsibility to ensure that Masses will be said for these intentions within a year, even if the Masses are to be celebrated elsewhere, unless the donors have expressly stipulated otherwise (Canon 954).
We assure you that if you have already requested a Mass Intention for the remainder of this year, this will be completed within the year, even if this intention and the offering will be distributed to other priests and religious communities outside our parish.
In the future, the expected increase in the number of Mass intentions requires us to create the policy that we will not be able to guarantee a certain date or specific Mass for your intention. In order to assist our parish staff who organize the Mass intentions, we kindly ask that if you wish to have a year-long intention, that you please come to the parish office and make this request at the beginning of each calendar year. We are always ready to assist you in having a Mass offered for your intention. For your information, the parish bulletin will provide the schedule of the Mass intentions for the following week. Thank you for your consideration.
We Pray …
