From the Pastor

As the dedication date (Oct. 26th) for our new church approaches, so to does the activity both for the completion of construction and preparation for the Dedication Mass. I am deeply grateful to all whose sacrifices make this new building a reality, to the people who have been and continue to work and coordinate all of our efforts and especially to God for blessings beyond measure. Although the new church will accommodate 1,400 people, there is not enough room for all our parishioners who have requested tickets for the dedication Mass. The lottery method for distributions of tickets is an attempt to give everyone an equal opportunity. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

                May God bless you,

BIBLE STUDY NEWS: The Gospel of John "On the third day there was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the marriage, with His disciples. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to Him, " They have no wine."  And Jesus said to her, "O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come." John2:1-4. The "hour" of Jesus is mentioned 17 times in the Gospel of John. While the "hour" is linked with the historical events of His Passion, it also reaches beyond them into the liturgical commemoration of these events in the life of the Church. To learn more, join us for the study of the Gospel of John beginning the second week of September. The study will run for the Fall and Spring sessions. Registration forms are at the door of the Church. For more information, contact Beverly Backof at 410-876-6275 or bbackof@hotmail.com.
