From the Pastor

It is time to give the summer update for the clergy, and almost, clergy staff of our parish. Deacon Michael DeAscanis will complete his assignment with us at the end of July. He will return to the North American Seminary in Rome to compete his preparation for ordination to the priesthood. Deacon Michael will return to Baltimore next summer to be ordained a priest. Seminarian Tyson Wood is assigned to our parish for the summer and will return to Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary this fall. Seminarian Patrick Peach, having completed two years of seminary in Rome, will be with us for six weeks this summer, beginning the first week of July. He will return to the North American Seminary in Rome this fall. Seminarian James Cora will serve his pastoral internship with us beginning this September.

Except for some vacation, retreat, continuing education time and a few rounds of golf whenever possible (for me), I along with Fathers Gerard, Leo and Brian will continue our assignments here. Fat Cat, the stray cat who moved into the rectory basement two years ago, has not lost any weight and continues to demand a room on the first floor…to no avail.

                May God bless you,

PLEASE NOTE: The parish offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
