From the Pastor
Please join me in congratulating our seminarian, Michael DeAscanis who will be ordained a deacon on May 10th, at the Basilica. He will complete his pastoral year at St. John’s this summer and return to Rome to finish his studies. He will be ordained a priest next summer. During his year with us, he has worked with the altar servers, taught in the school, in Religious Education classes, the RCIA program, worked with Life Teen and played for the “Men in Black,” basketball team…and many other duties, “as assigned.” His prayerful example and willingness to serve has been a source of blessing for our parish. Please keep Michael in your prayers.
This summer our parish will also benefit from the ministry of two seminarians along with the newly ordained deacon. Seminarian Tyson Woods will continue to serve our parish, having completed his first year of formation at Mount St. Mary’s. Seminarian Patrick Peach will spend six weeks in our parish this summer. Patrick is from Immaculate Conception parish in Towson and has recently completed two years of study at the North American College in Rome. He will return to Rome in the fall. Thank you for your continued prayers for vocations and the support you give our seminarians.
May God bless you,
