From the Pastor
Welcome to Holy Week. The season of Lent continues its spiritual journey, inviting us to a deeper appreciation of the mystery of salvation. Recalling the saving events of the life, death and resurrection of Our Lord, we are invited to participate in the sacred liturgies that nourish our souls. Many parishioners attend the Holy Week Liturgies every year. For some, this may be the first year they attend. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities for grace. This year, with our nation at war, and the challenge to bring healing and peace to a devastated country…this is the time for prayer. Join us for the liturgies of the Easter Triduum.
Cardinal’s Lenten Appeal: As of Monday, April 7th our parish has pledged $32,753 to the Lenten Appeal. I want to express my appreciation to all who have already made a pledge and encourage all others to participate in this worthy cause. Our donations help and support the mission of the Church to those most in need. Holy Week is the time for prayer, sacrifice and alms giving. Each and every one of us can do something.
May God bless you,
Liturgy & Worship
