From the Pastor

I want to thank the parishioners who gave wonderful talks on stewardship at the Masses last weekend.  I also want to thank all who have already made a commitment to support our parish and those who have volunteered to work on Phase II of our capital campaign.  This is an important and exciting time in the life of our parish.  As we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary next year, and construction of our new church is now in process, we have numerous opportunities for our involvement. I encourage everyone to accept the invitation to continue to deepen our relationship with Christ through our participation in the life of His Church.

May God bless you,

Text Box: Help raise thousands of dollars for St. John School–
and it won’t cost you a cent!

It’s easy. All you have to do is purchase gift certificates to do your weekly grocery shopping. The school makes 5% from the purchase, yet it costs you nothing. If 200 families purchase $100 in grocery certificates each month ($240,000 in certificate sales annually), then St. John School would receive $12,000 annually ($240,000 x .05 profit margin). St. John School is a parish school; therefore, when you support the school, you are supporting your parish as well. Certificates are sold before and after Sunday morning Masses on the third Sunday of the month.  They are also available through the school office during the day and are sold before and after school in the parking lot. We accept cash or checks payable to St. John PTF. Certificates are available for Kohl’s, Giant, Shoppers, Safeway, Superfresh and Weis. Thank you for your support!
