From the Church of St. Mary’s

Dear Msgr. Art,

Along with the parishioners of St. Mary’s Parish, please accept my sincere gratitude for the very generous donation of $5,000 recently sent from the good people of St. John’s Church. We plan to use these funds for both plant and ground needs.

The thoughtful move on your part will have a lasting effect on my ministry. While the funds will be utilized in vital areas, the charitable move itself will remain in my thoughts as being one of teamwork, support and outreach.

May the good Lord continue to enliven all of us with joy and appreciation for allowing us to be effective workers in His vineyard.       Fr. Milton Hipsley, Pastor

For All our Safety

With the beginning of the school year and all the various ministries and groups that will start meeting again, our parish campus will serve hundreds of individuals daily. It is most important to slow down (especially during morning school drop-off/morning Mass) on our campus parking lot and to obey all “No Parking” and “Handicapped Parking” signs. Your respect is most appreciated.

SCRIPTURE STUDY ... Every Wednesday

How different are the Lord’s ways from our own! Gracious and good to all, the Lord is equally generous in compassion and love to both those who are quick to respond to His invitation, as well as those who are slow to hear His call. All are invited to join us at 7:15 p.m. to review, in advance, Sunday’s scripture.

BIBLE STUDY NEWS Beginning mid-September

"Mary came to the Temple for the rite of purification forty days after the birth of Jesus, to offer her child to God, according to the custom of the Jews." Luke 1:22 This was the first formal offering of Christ to the Father. His life was hereby dedicated to God, a dedication climaxed on Calvary. The fourth joyful mystery of the Rosary is the presentation of Jesus in the Temple. Beginning the week of September 22, we will begin a Bible Study on the Rosary with audio-tapes by Dr. Scott and Kimberly Hahn. Registration forms are at the doors of the Church. For more information, contact Bev Backof at 410-876-6275.
